Brownies
Small creatures related to Nixies, they are often seen as ugly little brown men with pointed ears. If you make one happy, they will be very helpful. However if you spurn one, they can wreck havoc.
Banshee
Spirit-like woman with amazing beauty. They often vanish into mist, and have an ear-piercing wail. It is rumoured that if you hear a banshee wail, you will soon die. This comes from the fact that a banshee will wail before attacking, and it is often the last thing you will hear. They can be found wandering the forests of the Wilds or the mountains of Thule.
Cyclops
Giant one-eyed men, of amazing strength and stupidity. They live in the mountains of Thule and are often heard from afar, throwing boulders at each other.
Manticore
Manticores have the body of a red lion, a human head with three rows of sharp teeth, bat wings, and a trumpet-like voice. The tail is that of a scorpion, and it may shoot poisonous spines to either paralyze or kill its victims. It devours its prey whole and leaves no clothes, bones, or possessions of the prey behind.
Nixies
Shapeshifting water-spirits related to brownies. Small in size, they are very mischievous trickster that sometimes try to trick others into drowning. They are terrible at shapeshifting, and when they try to appear human they often still have webbed hands and feet.
Peryton
The Peryton has the head, neck, forelegs and antlers of a stag, combined with the plumage, wings and hindquarters of a large bird. A Peryton casts the shadow of a man until it kills one during its lifetime, at which time it starts to cast its own shadow.
Unicorn
A majestic white horse, it is filled with Aetheric magic. They have a beautiful but deadly horn, and it is said that they are so innocent they may only be captured by one whom is pure of heart. Very rare, they are often only seen if they wish to be.
Sphynx
The body of a lion, the wings of a great bird and the head of a human, they are a dangerously intelligent species. The women are often larger and more powerful than the men. They are very fond of riddles and will kill whoever cannot solve them. However, occasionally they will kill even if the victim is correct.
